How Susan got into Wedding Photography
My love for photography started when I was very young. My dad always had a camera in his hand and when I was 7 years old, he bought me my first camera…a Brownie. Throughout the years, I always had a camera in my hand. Matter of fact, I was that kid in high school that drove all their friends crazy taking photos (which I still have)!
I photographed my first wedding as a junior in high school using a film camera and developing the film myself in the darkroom. It was shot in black and white and was truly ‘photojournalistic’ way before the term became popular with weddings.
Through the years, I’ve had a few different careers, but my love for photography never wavered (neither did my desire to carry a camera where ever I went).
Over a decade ago, I took the leap, became a full-time photographer and never looked back. I feel so fortunate to be able to do something for a living that I am so passionate about.
My Philosophy on Photographing Weddings
The passion for me lies in capturing the emotions and movements of the day – the big and small, the hurried and the slow. They are each important and I work with you to perfect your timeline and coverage to ensure your wedding story is told in the most candid, authentic and creative way while reflecting everything that makes you both so amazing as a couple!
Through years of perfecting my art, I offer you the priceless gift of moments stopped in time, telling your wedding story through capturing emotions, details and scenes.
I will provide you with images that are authentic, moving, spirited and emotional. I will capture the moments you know about as well as the ‘in between’ moments and those that you didn’t see.
In the end, I will give you the priceless gift of your wedding day bundles up in images to relive and share with those you love.
The reward from your investment in photography will only increase in value over time and to generations to come.
