Isla Mujeres Family Photography | DiRenzo Family

I photographed the DiRenzo family last year when they were vacationing on Isla Mujeres and they contacted me again to do another session when they returned this year. Last year’s session was on the beach and so they wanted to do something different this time. We decided a session around town where the historic and colorful buildings are and the many murals that talented Mexican artists have created.

To beat the tourist crowds, we started their session at 8:30am which was also a great time for the kids. It was such a fun session, bopping around town taking photos, laughing and having fun!

When thinking about doing family photos on vacation in Cancun or on Isla Mujeres, consider something different. Most family’s first thought is a beach setting, but look past that for something unique. Also, think about what time is best for your children. Most likely, that will be first thing in the morning so work your photo session around this. Also, it will give you the rest of the day to pay on the beach after your family portrait session!
