Isla Mujeres Marriage Proposal and Engagement Photography | Ignacio + Ana

Ignacio and Ana traveled from Chile to reach the beautiful beaches of Mexico. Ignacio contacted me a few weeks back sharing that he wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Ana. They were planning on staying in Playa de Carmen but when Ignacio saw photos of the cliffs of Punta Sur, he knew this was the location he wanted to get down on one knee and propose so he decided to cut their time in Playa de Carmen short and stay on the island for a few days.

The plan was for me to ‘run into them’ at the temple to the Goddess Ixchel saying I was trying to build my portfolio and would they be open to taking some photos. Ana didn’t suspect a thing! I knew that Ignacio was going to want to pop the question as soon as possible, so I brought them to the spot he selected first. Within minutes, he was down on his knee asking the love of his life to marry him! Ana was overjoyed and say YES!!!!

After the excitement of the initial “I DO”, I want over to them and explained that Ignacio actually had hired me in advance to capture the special moment and now we were going to take their engagement photos. As we walked around the cliffs taking photos, they shared their love story. Although they met while living in Chile, they were actually from the same town in Venezuela although they never knew each other then. They met through mutual friends and have been together for the last three years.

The happy couple are now on their way to Tulum for a visit and then to Merida.

I couldn’t be happier for Ignacio and Ana! Congratulations to the cutest couple ever!
